Is There A Way?

Is there a way to copy files from your xbox to a 64 MB USB flash drive? Is there a list of compatability list of USB Flash Drives? I have the USB input thing you plug into your xbox controller port. The USB input came with my Xenium modchip.

Yes, but you will lose all the data on the USB stick.  Simply plug it into your Xbox and format it with a file explorer or the MS Dash, the plug it back into your PC and use Xplorer360 to transfer files to it.  Note; it will NOT show up in My Computer as being formatted.  If you format it in FAT(32) it will not work on your Xbox until you format it again.

Unfortunately you can only transfer from the USB stick to your xbox without formatting the stick to FATX. If this is your only method of transfer, deadparrot's method will work. However it is much simpler to get your XBOX FTP capable. It will save you major headaches in the longrun.

yea, like they said u can do it, but problem is that you can't actually transfer files from computer to xbox w/ it or vice versa b/c of formatting problem

Actually, all builds of XBMC beyond the stable '2.0.0' point-release support accessing FAT, FAT16, and FAT32-formatted USB devices. Windows XP formats USB pen drives to the FAT filesystem automatically.

Ok then, forget about the USB stick. When i receive files from my xbox through FlashFXP, the upload speed is really slow like speed is like 24 kbs. Is there a way to make it faster??? My speed for uploading files to my xbox is like up to 2mb per second.

Try using a different dashboard, like Avalaunch (it gets me the best speed). Also, are you using a direct connection (like a crossover cable) or through a router? Because, a crossover will give you a lot faster connection.

Bullshit. They only network device that should make any noticable difference (slowdown) is a repeater type hub.

Only specific routers can give you full 100mb connection, buddy. Think of it:

1.Router takes in internet info, sends it to your computer
2. Router takes in xbox info, sends it to your computer
3. Router sends computer info to internet and xbox

You only get 1/3 the usage of the connection.

Please back up your claim wih some evidence, I am open minded and willing to learn.

I was under the impression that routers simply filtered and "routed" information packets based on the destinaion IP. More so, on a local network they work on an even simpler level of a switch, simply forwarding packets based on MAC address. There should be almost no difference in speed through a router/switch as opposed to crossover.

100 Mbit/sec = 12.5 Mbyte/sec. I can usually attain over 10 Mbyte/sec via my router over 100Mbit ethernet. That's at least 80% of the advertised 100 Mbit. Not 1/3.

The thread starter does have a problem, but it isn't the lack of use of a crossover cable. Perhaps a hub?
edit:I should add: Flash drives aren't all that fast, and aren't a good answer to this problem.

dont doubt a crossover
i get better speeds with it than with my router

router averages 800mb/s  crossover averages 1100mb/s
