a really good fake.

if nintendo was/is stupid enough to go with the virtual boy style headset piece of shit again, then they deserve to die a horrible death.

That vid was amazing, and that would be awesome if that was reality. I'm pretty excited to see what nintendo is coming up with, I hope it is something like this, because honestly, the xbox 360 isn't that impressive, it's more or less just a beefed up version of the original, and the first screen shots aren't that great (although seeing the unreal 3 engine in motion is really fantastic).

Nintendo could really do something different like this and score big.

Also, what they showed in the video would be a parents dream, if the person using it actually had to walk around and stuff to move, the gamer would be getting some mild exercise. Awesome.

As far as it being like virtual boy, it's nothing like it, apart from the headset. It obviously wouldn't be the shitty vector graphics and from the concept in this amazing fake vid it showed that the brain would broadcast to t.v as well. Also, it wouldnt be a set it on the table style glasses, you'd actually wear it and have 5.1 in the headphones, which would kick ass (then every player could hear independent sound). Virtualboy sucked cause only one person could see it, plus the red and black...just blah. I only played one of these in a demo set up in some store, and thought it was the dumbest thing even then. N64 blew me away though, the very first Mario 64 commercial....god, nothing tops that haha.

I wonder how 4 player would work with this, wireless headsets and people running into each other in the living room HAHA.

This concludes my small rant.

that is so fake,1st off mario looked like a crack head, then everything that has came out that had something you put over your eyes for a screen always caused headacks after 10secs of use.another thing, couldnt you just see all the law sutes over ppl usein that thing and getting hurt from falling over things in their house?

VR is very cool but it wont happen untill they fig out a way to turn a room in your house into a map/stage without usein a headset..even then i doubt it will work.also VR would be great for all the lard ass's..

Didn't some official already say that the console would only be as thick as 3 stacked dvd cases.

the thing about VR is it would only be cool if you had like a HUGE obstacle course that was designed in the form of a lvl in halo or something crazy like that, this could easialy be the next paintball. fuck live, just go out to a VR course and play other people!

no matter how "innovative" it is - i'll stick with my controller and tv over that.  If i want excersize, I'll go play my drum and march. if I want to game, I'll sit in my recliner in front of my 26" HDTV and shred some n00bs in PD0 or GR3 using my damned comfortable wireless controller, not some piece of shit breaks-in-a-year made-cheaply-so-12-year-olds-can-afford-it headset attached to some sytem with horrible net play and lame 3rd party support.

no matter how much I love them (and believe me I do, but this video pisses me off immensly), I won't get a revolution if big N's big secrets turn out to be this white turd that goes on your head. (and if it is real - I could call everyone who wears one a shithead since they'd be wearing a stupid turd just to play games.)

I wish nintendo would just give me the gyroscopic touchscreen controller and let that be innovative enough.  I want my Mario, DK, SSB, Star Fox, and Metroid fix without changing the way we play games too much.

Right, this is a peripheral for the nintendo systems.

The vid did show a GC and a unnamed box transfering data to the unit.

I don't see why this couldn't be real.  The quality just seems too high for a doityourselfer.  Mario did look weird though.

I won't discount this quite yet.

I think the big box with a ? was eithier reffering to the PS2/PS3 and or the Xbox/360.

There is no way thats real, its a fake, I'll owe someone 5 bucks if that damn thing is rea. It looks awesome, but dude, that would cost so much money to make.  Plus, Nintendo wouldn't make the Revolution and THEN this thing.

Cool Idea, But Not Practical
Not to mention, I doubt Nintendo is going to try VR any time soon, not after the Virtual Boy.

Well, IGN confirmed it's a fake, but it still is an amazing fake.

Whoever did that is extremely talented.

That was the sweetest video I've ever seen! I'm not sure if it's real or not, but if it's not, how the hell did they do that thing with the castles in mario 64?

That video was awesome.

I am going to continue to think that was a video from the future so it's what I can expect in, say, 6 years.

I think 6 years is a reasonable time frame for something like this, what about you?
