i think the forums there are nice not haveing to read through 30 differant posts looking for the same info that should al be in 1 post and thats what there going for.

as for the IRC rule they have exclusive agreements to be the first to release on some things and they dont want someone getting it and putting it up on a competitors channel.
if your on another channel just disconnect from theirs, simple.

well u have some legit stuff there but the fact to the matter is there are not reasonable people... it's uncalled for to ban someone unless it's REALLY nessesary!... and it's obvious they are banning alot of people cause "The Word" is getting around in alot of fourms about them.

i know what these guys are going through cause some people u just cant reason with whatsoever... and it aint like we are being d*cks ... where just going through the forums like any other "normall" person would... then they get banned out of no where basically

i cant believe u can even side with ps2ownz on this issue.... thats funny to me.

I do agree their rules are ridiculous. They don't even let you post links to other sites, you have to copy/paste anything entirely...which in many cases is considered illegal. And having to pay your way to get unbanned...anyone who has actually done that has to be a complete fucking moron. I'm probably banned now.

another thing that makes ps2ownz look real bad! ... any decent forums let u do ALOT of stuff... i mean personally only way i would "ban" someone from any forum is if there doing something thats shady like posting warez links (to cover the forums @$$'s ) or just going off on other people for no reason etc.... basically to sum it up they gotta mess up pretty bad for me to ban someone from a forum... and initially i would still give em a couple warnings "first" before banning em.

I haven't seen anyone mention this about ps2ownz yet:

One of their rival PS2 sites started reporting an incident about how they were stealing software and calling it their own.  So the administrator of PS2ownz got the member list of the other forum, and matched up the names to their member list and then proceeded to ban everyone who was also a member of the other forum (luckily I was using 2 different names) :huh: .  Also if you try to point out any errors on anything that was said on PS2ownz (no matter how wrong it is), you'll most likely get banned with the reason being that whatever we say is true.  It's so surpisong how much that place is run like a Nazi regime.

So basically if you discover their BS and they realize it, you get banned.

i totally agree, ps2ownz is a post-war gestapo hideout.

i remember them promoting sucky flip-tops for ps2, and i posted in a thread that had the "fix" splinter cell (i.e. the 7 swap trick, yes 7 swaps, to get the damn game to run)

I posted something like:
"great, now my mate can play this too, holy moly 7 swaps, im happy i have my dms3"

it immediately censored dms (WTF??), and after 10 min my comment about me having the chip was removed  

i dunno if i got banned, becuase i never got back there, lamers.

the word censors are extremely retarded, the admin is on a powertrip, and i just hate those forums!!!!!

I can't believe PS2ownz isn't shut down, since their own front page tells you to come to their chatroom to download illegal files. Hell, Nintendo should even step in and take these fuckers out.

Now they have disabled all registration.  If you try to register it says its shut down for now.  If you email them, they set an ip ban and they say you can't even visit the news page.  Like anyone cares.
