Gamecube Case Mods
« on: June 28, 2004, 10:14:00 AM »

So I was wondering if a 80mm fan will fit on the sides of the GC, one on the intake and one on the other side. I havn't opened my GC yet as I'm waiting for my bits to come in the mail, but I have 2 extra fans from a computer mod that  I figured I could use in the cube. If it's possible is there any type of wiring I need to look out for, such as the 12V mod for a Xbox 80mm fan, or just plug it in. Also I wanted to throw some led's in the GC, so if anyone knows were the ground and 5v solder points are could they help point them out for me. I want my GC to join my other modded consoles and have alittle color and light while playing, so I'm trying to do just about as many mods as I can do, without destroying the GC at the same time. Thanks to anyone who has some info, since this stuff is hard to find in Google.

I doubt there's room for even one 80mm fan. You could probably fit another 40mm (judging by eye only) fan to do the opposite of what the stock fan is doing.

Yeah your probably right, guess I'll just have to wait for my gamebits to come in so I can open it and check out the insides and do some measuring. Thanks.

80mm for sure does not fit, i measured it up awhile back.. i think a 40 or 50mm will fit if is skinny enough.
