I think thats the point of HDLoader. Modchips are no longer worth anything unless you want to play backups. Of course, I'm not sure if HDLoader will allow backups or not either. Also, if a CD is required, than having a modchip would not have any benefit over HDLoader itself. More than likely any software made for the PS2 is gonna be run through a CD loading program like HDLoader. So, someone could make some video software, burn it to a dvd or cd, use HDLoader to copy it to the harddrive and run it from there. Could work.

I don't see why they wouldn't be compatible online, considering backups with modchips work just fine online, except of course for those DNS (i think that's it) server games.

Well forget that. My brother got send the tracking number because I have been using his paypal address lately, and come to find out, he told me it was the tracking number for the hddloader and really it wasn't.

So, I'm still waiting too.

HELP ME !!!! on divineo.com it says COD only for USA and CANADA and im in canada and the hdloader is supposed to be released today so why doesnt it give me the COD option every other product does except this one

My HDDloader just arrived today. I bought it from the console corner. I tried it eairler with my 120 Maxtor HDD and it WORKS!! I install Madden NFl 2004 on it and some other games and it boot flawlesslly. BUT the HDDloader Menu sometimes freezes and need a reboot. Anywayz IT WORKS!!!!!
