they should work.

thanks for all the positive feedback, I am starting to think about my box, im thinking yellow and red putting yellow(if i can find em{do they exist}) and red LED's for the power led's and this time im not over paying for crappy led's at stupid radio shack, i dont know what jewel to do or what color to light it, i also need to buy a chip, this is gonna be expensive.

And were did you solder them LED's in that PSX. I'm thinking of doing somthing very similar to mine. Though was it fairly easy to mount the glass, how thick was it, I think my green perspex will be to thick for this, though I'm not gona have 3 windows I'm probebly just gona have one whole window in that open lid type thing. But yer I was thinking of doing somthing like that, might paint mine silver.

In reply to Bucko, I soldered my LED's in right before the power Led's first resistor on the power board, hope that helps, if not then work your way back on the power board from the power led, its pretty simple. As far as windows go mine was 1/4 inch plexi i think, the only problem with the window is that the cd cover is arched a little so theres a gap in mine right in the center between the window and the plexi but its not that big of an issue, when I was clamping it I realized if you really wanted, with enough glue and enough clamps you could probably get it to fill that gap but I dont know if after a while the glue mght just seperate under stress, try stuff. I havent even got near starting on my box yet mainly cuz ive been sick as crap for the past week but what can you do, I am still brainstorming on it but coming up with some pretty nice ideas, should be cool.
