Hard Drive Upgrade Error With Xenium Gold 24k

i have a 1.6 with a Xenium Gold 24K... on the xenium bios it has a hard drive upgrade wizard that is supposed to upgrade your hard drive automatically when u hook up your new drive (set to slave), where the dvd rom is... i did this and went to the upgrade wizard.. when it started formating the new drive it said there was an error... does anyone know what the problem is?

- the new drive im tryin to upgrade is a Seagate Ultra ATA 100 ST3400632A 400gb
