this should be a PS2 vs. Dreamcast poll because you just can't compare PS2 and xbox as a whole.  The xbox is a totally different animal than the PS2.
Oh, and I pick the Dreamcast.  I've never owned a PS2.

I would definitely pick a PS2 over the XBOX (Yes, I own both systems). Even with mod capabilities I still struggle with finding enough good solid titles that are XBOX exclusive. So If I was stuck with having no mod options for either system (My PS2 isn't modded) then I would've never bothered picking up an XBOX.

I hated my N64!

It took them 2 years to come out with any decent games.  Then, they only had a few.
Also, it was newer than PS1, but couldn't keep up with the graphics, and NO FIGHTING games(except Killer Instinct).

Overall, it was almost as bad as the Virtual Boy. A waste of time and money.

HALO.  PS2 has nothin to compare...nothing.  

But looking at it properly, the x-box at themoment (in the UK) so cheap! and theres so many cheap but great games avaliable for it.  It just is overall the better console. its like 179.99 for a ps2 with one game. 169.99 for x-box +halo+splinter cell and a extra controller. It just seems bette.

But for the modded consoles:
N64 was good for me (Perfect Dark, multi-player ooooh, those were the days).
That's probably the reason why i'm such a fanatic when it comes to n64 emulation on xbox.
n64 + xbox = uber-console-heaven...    (well ya have to count the other consoles that are emulated too)

Gackt, will you just stay off this case of the PS2, I DO NOT HATE the PS2 when I own one and do play it. I'm just stating the fact that the Xbox has better graphics.. Bla bla bla graphics are better some other bullshit about hard drives.  

There are individual criticisms worth making about all gaming machines.  But they don't mean a thing when it comes down to what is worth an individual gamer's money, which is a wholly subjective issue.

I also thank and respect all the poeple who do not like the Sony PlayStation2 but still know how to show it in a mature and rational way. And not using senseless statements like "Emotionless Engine".
