I've realized that my modchip is what makes my xbox worth owning. With that said, lets take an hones poll:

Which would you rather own:

1. an unmodded xbox

or

2. an unmodded ps2

Xbox, Hands down for me. The only thing the PS2 has over Xbox is
game selection. I own both and like the Xbox better myself. Although I do prefer the Ps2 controler over Xbox's, lol.

Xbox still. I got my PS2 day of release and it took me about a year to get a new game for it other than the two I bought with it (Ready 2 Rumble Boxing and Tekken Tag). Still the PS2 hasn't given me to much of an experience and the only reason it's still around is so I can buy the yearly release of wrestling games for it. But if I didn't mod my Xbox I'm not sure how much fun I would have with it. Since most of my favorite games for it are ones that, if I didn't have a mod, I would probably never try. Screw those two...I choose Super Nintendo!

I've just been disappointed with Xbox games. The only thing I play now is Tiger and Madden.

I just hate seeing so many developers going PS2 only.

mm do cosmetic mods count? i did the whole jewel thing and all that stuff, and you can't do a whole lot more with a PS2.

I honestly dont know; it would be a tough decision for me.

xbox for sure.

harddrive
better graphics
better online play
better everything

just as many good games.

You know what... I would have to say xbox is fun to play with, the graphis are nice and they use the full ability more than ps2 does.. But the games on Ps2 are just better.

Game wise, ps2. That's all I gotta say really..

But then if you go into the mod world... then we go to other ideas and opinions...

I would have to go with my PS2 (Shame the Gamecube wasn't a choice though that wins hands down)

I only bought an XBOX for the purpose of tinkering with it. An unmodded one wouldn't hold much appeal for me as most of the games are just average.

My PS2 is great, smackdown 4 and GTA4 keep my and my mates constantly coming back for more.

This kinda question will usually attract the XBOX Purists who insist that the XBOX rains supreme and that all other consoles are shite, I have all 3 of the big guns and can honestly say the xbox is 3rd, PS2 second and Gamecube 1st in my humble opinion.

On a side note Halo looks nice but its not exactly anything "new" :-)

Well yeah cos they came out on other consoles first and most companies believe that they need to offer you something extra to buy it again on a different format......

Check out Splinter Cell's extra's for the PS2

As for shoddyness I have had my PS2 since day one of its release in the UK, Modded it the day after never had a problem.....Sony Rule :-) hehe

If it weren't for them I wouldn't have my PS2, MZ-N1 Minidisc Player, DRU-500AX, TV, Stereo lol
