QUOTE
After hours of searching (Actually, I found this place First! for some odd reason) I found this place to be the best deal.. Others are either charging $128 or $168 for the SAME device.. There is a slight hitch with this place though, they DONT take credit cards, so you have to pay them via Western Union or some other way. I was obviously leary at first, you know, too good to be true deal, but was NOT disappointed.. Actually, I HIGHLY recommend them after my dealings. They shipped the order the same day they got the $ via DHL on a Thursday from China to California, and I had it Monday afternoon. They did not give me a tracking # by default, but a quick email requesting it was answered very promptly with the tracking # showing me it was already in Los Angeles on Saturday. Great company so far, and my roomate already ordered one as well and got it. One thing to remember though, is it comes in like 14 colors, and you need to specify which one you want, they wont ask. My roomate got a pumpkin orange one, but a little silver paint fixed it right up to match his GBA SP.

Oh ya, and it works GREAT. I use it on my Dell Laptop with XP (older Celeron 433 256M) with its USB port and it takes about 7 mins to flash all 256M. Its better quality than most backup devices I have seen, like the Doctor v64 for the N64. Those are not built very well. If your PC goes to sleep though, well, at least mine anyway, you have to unplug it and plug it back in to reinitialize. Prolly just my laptop though.

Thanks Ace,... I'm definitely going to look into purchasing one from them - you can't go wrong at that price. But I'm not too excited about not being able to use a credit card to order. Oh well...

Not at all, $26 for DHL delivery in 3-5 days, and covers customs charges... I used to pay $20 for shipping from Lik Sang and still had to wait 21 days for the boat to arrive.. so an addition $6 for such speedy delivery is fine by me.. The part I hated was the $15 Western Union fee.. grand total came out to $114.50 delivered to my door.. thats $73.50 + $26 shipping/customs + $15 Western Union Fee... still, it beat any other place on the net, even after those addition charges.. next cheapest place I found was $128 + $15 for shipping but took CCs. I was the guinee pig on this one and was not disappointed.. or else I would never be mentioning them..

I guess when you put it all into perspective, it's still cheaper than any other place.

I still ordered one from them, just waiting to hear back from them. Looking forward to messing around with the flash carts.

Cheers,

Hey Ace... would you mind letting us know where the "next cheapest place I found was $128 + $15 for shipping but took CCs" is? I wouldn't mind checking them out as well.

Thanks,
ER

Check out www.xgflash.com and they have a list if places to buy from.. or type in XG-Flash in a search engine.. but actually, after some more searching, even the places that are like $119 and $126 now both don't take CCs.. its only gamegizmo that charges $168 that does..
