ya, i'm rooting for san jose right now (stupid antropov), i don't know who out of the east.

I'd like to see montreal make it to the conference final, but i think jersey's going to take it. Buffalo doesn't have what it takes IMO.

I'm a toronto fan. Ottawa can rott in hell. I really hate havlat. He's plays dirty.

Detroit i like, but i think edmonton will win the series. They're more diciplined and i like them for it .Even if they play the trap. (i hate the trap)

Colorado's not going to make it past the second round, but they will beat dallas.
Aneheim and calgary are a toss up for me. I don't know who's going to win there.

San Jose's just so good. Marleau got a hat trick just after i posted last night.

If calgary wins, do they get edmonton in the second round?

west...

San Jose vs Edmonton

Aneheim vs Colorado

Calgary blew it. They played like dung. Couldn't make a pass even for charity. Aneheim was solid though.

[crazy thoughts]
Here's a conspiricy theory...

Do you think NBC and OLN paid calgary to choke? That way there wouldn't be a calgary edmonton series? That way San Jose and Aneheim wouldn't have to eliminate each other? That way there's a better chance that San Jose and Anehiem could meet in the conference final, and have one of those teams fighting for the cup?[/crazy thoughts.]

I doubt that a Canadian team would throw a game for any amount of money.  I mean, they are Canadian.  This is Canada's game.  It doesn't really matter anyways.  Calgary was my lock for the finals.  I was expecting an Ottawa/Calgary Final.  BUT i guess that can't happen now.

Whoever wins the Buffalo/Ottawa series will make it to the finals.  I hate to say it, but San Jose is likely going to make it to the finals in the west, and if they play anyone other than Ottawa, they will win the cup.

Hopefully next year the Canadian Teams try to co-ordinate things so that they don't have to eliminate each other in the second round..  Try to get an all Canadian Conference final for both the east and the west...  What a dream...

I am sure there will some car flipping / burning buildings should the oil make it to the cup. (the oilers ownership seems to think we are above that). I doubt it - Whyte Ave is pretty fucked up stupid sometimes.

Didn't even take as long as I thought. 50 arrests on Whyte Ave last night. 2 stabbings, some assaults, property damage etc, etc.

So much for being above it all  dry.gif

Yeah I wish when our Canadian cities were celebrating a win like that one (HUGE) we could party and drink but not turn to violence.

When we start stabbing/looting/vandalizing it ruins the whole thing.

Congrats to any Oilers fans anyway!  I'm rooting for you the rest of the way now.

When toronto wins the cup... the toronto police will call in the army to stop the riots.

Toronto, more than any other city, will be chaotic.

I'm predicting a two day street celebration.

BTW -

Anaheim vs (san jose vs edmonton)
buffalo vs (carolina vs jersey)
