The property damage has been the big thing so far. Violence has been fairly minimal considering the size of the crowd.
Some people getting beat up/random fighting breaking out, getting git with beer bottles [still not too bad considering].
*** There was this article about some old lady who lives nearby, finally got pissed off, went down to give people a pice of her mind, and then the fans spit on her. Not violent but kind of funny in a sad way***
I think the vilionce has been kept to a a minimum because the cops let the mob run it's course without giving the crowd something too feed on. Apparently the riot police wanted to step in to start "banging some heads around" to try and get some control and help the shopowners, and put an end to the property damage.
The cop in charge said no, as this would likely cause the crowd to go into a full blown riot. He has been replaced with another cop in the hopes this is handled better next time. Though I am at a loss as to what would be appropriate.
I seriously hope they tear gas them.
