Late Great Senna
« on: May 02, 2004, 11:15:00 AM »

Sorry im a day late on posting this, didn't post it yesterday and felt extremely guilty.
Yesterday, May 1st marks the 10th year since Ayrton Senna's tragic f1 fatality. During the worst race weekend f1 has ever seen, his steering column broke, slamming him into a concrete wall and forcing his suspension through his helmet visor. He normally waves the Braziallian flag in his victory lap (he won constantly) but in his wrecked cockpit they found the flag of Austria.. which he was planning on waving in honor of Rolan Ratzenberger who died in qualifying the day before. The weekend definatly improved the safety of f1 tracks and cars and added some new rules. One of the new rules is the 50mph speed limit in the pits on account of the wheel flying off the mclaren into the pit crews. Definatly the worst f1 weekend EVER.

please remember senna.. uh.. yesterday
