OVW's Keven "seven" Fertig will be playing this new religious charater called Mordecai. He's been working house shows and Dark Match's.
WWE.. in typical anti-competitive action.. nixed the match that was supposed to occure at 4/24 Cyberspace Wrestling Federation event in Wayne, New Jersey. Originally.. TNA's Ron Killings was scheduled to face semi-retired Al Snow in a loser leaves town match. (guess who the loser was going to be) WWE in their infinite wisdom (hah) pulled Snow from the match. If it had occured.. it would have counted as the first inter-promotional match between TNA and WWE. (kinda.. Al Snow has not wrestled for awhile as talent for WWE.. so this is kind of reaching..)
Angle fans of course know that the "fall" on smackdown was staged (poorly) Anyways.. he'll remain SD GM for awhile longer.. likely to do some hospital scenes (hopefully..)
Rey Mysterio to take some time out from SD house shows.. and maybe the TV tapings as well to deal with a considition that is currently giving him grief.. dizziness. WWE's writing staff mildly pleased.. since they have no current plans for him and his charater.. and have gone so far as to ask Rey to submit his own ideas. (a sign the wwe has nothing in the pipeline for him...)
Austin and WWE part ways.. finding no middle ground on current contract and storyline issues. Both left room for a future return of Austin. Time away from the company should help Austin personally.. and couldn't hurt the fact he's become stale lately. WWE still wants to do at least one more big match with him.. a final Retirement Match more than likely.
In other Austin news.. negotiations are ongoing for a GOLDBERG/AUSTIN match for Japan. With the Japanese Wrestling audience insatiable appetite for North American Wrestlers/wrestling.. this could end up as a huge match.. to be carried on US PPV (possibly via Tape Delay). If this match happens.. this would surely be a huge slap to the face of the WWE.
WWE still big on the EUGENE "retard" character. Expect more TV time for him and the continued exploitation of the gimmick.
Spike TV announces new show.. "THE WWE EXPERIENCE" which premieres Sunday, May 2 (10:00-11:00 AM, ET/PT). Regularly telecasts Sundays (10:00-11:00 AM, ET/PT). Re-runs of key RAW and SD matches will litter the hour.. with WWE Diva (cough) IVORY handling the hosting duties. It's a re-run show.. 'nuff said!

NFL teams express an interest in Brock Lesnar?
http://sports.yahoo....nball&type=lgnsWWE and Ultimo Dragon parts ways.. at least temporarily. ultimo heads back to Japan for 3 months of bookings there.. and to handle other affairs. WWE was disappointed with him anyways.. and Dragon felt likewise regarding his lack of a push in WWE.
Raw fans noticed the return of Brian Lawler.. Jerry's Kid (no pun intended...) one of JR's last actions as Head of Talent for WWE. (a position now run by the unpopular Johnny Ace.) Lawler will need to rebuild himself.. since there is no plans for a Lawler/Scotty2hotty reunion.
Current WWE trend of forcing Canadian WWE talent to announce their Hometown's as American locations drawing alot of heat from the fans.. as WWE.com is getting deluged with complaints from irate Canadians vowing to not purchase future WWE PPV's. Canada makes up 20-35% of the PPV viewers.. so the WWE should listen to it's Canadian Fan base...
