Ftp Backup With Many Files Is Slow....?
« on: November 17, 2006, 07:49:00 PM »

Hey, I searched for the solution but couldnt find one...Im using FlashFXP to transfer my backup to my xbox. The problem is that the backup has many audio files and it has to load each individually and it will take forever this way... Is there ne program or way to fix this to load it as one folder or something?

Thanks,Matt

that's not how file transfer protocol works,
it would be the same speed, minus some loading speeds,
i recommend just doing it.....
if you want you can use the windows explorer FTP client,

in windows explorer(ie) go to :
ftp://xbox:[email protected]/
username: xbox
password: xbox
ip of xbox here: 192.168.1.50

Enjoy.

This is the easiest way to view xbox files.
and transfers 'folders' at a time, this will look like you are copying files from one hard drive to another (partitions)

Good Luck

Also make sure Passive Mode is shut off when using FlashFXP.  Do this by going into settings, and it's in Proxy Settings.  That should speed up the FTP transfers a pile too.

Why can't you just hold the Ctrl button and select each one and transfer them all at once....?
