Xbox Ethernet Connection Dead?
« on: November 15, 2006, 04:20:00 PM »

I have a version 1.3 xbox and a version 1.2 xbox as well, recently when transfering files (games,avi's,mp3s) to the 1.3 I no longer get the speeds i used to. i use to average about 5-6 MB per sec (using flash fxp) but now the connection starts around 2-3 MB per sec and consistently drops untill 0 and connection fails (strangely the IP still shows on my dashboard and time stays correct and xbox media player news flashes still come thru from online). I lknow that it is not the cable/ethernet card from my pc, as my version 1.2 xbox still accepts transfers just fine at around the 5-6 MB per sec mark. I tried formatting and rebuilding my hdd as i thought it may have been an hdd write problem but that wasnt the case...could the nic/ethernet card in my xbox be toast??, can they be replaced... if any one else has experienced this, or has any info pls lettme know.
