That's to stretch it very far this early. I don't see it happening at all, but Putin's quite totalitarian and a tough-guy so who really knows. But if Russia absolutely will object it (which I surely can understand) then I'm certain EU will not allow NATO to set them up.

Haven't really considered it hardly at all actually, but I'm not so sure I'd like them there either. My country is not at sake anyway. I'll have to read up tomorrow.

You will never know.  Bush is already undoing what Reagan is doing during the 80's.  Hopefully, Bush's 'focus' for the next 19 months will be Iraq and not starting another war with Putin.
