Iranians Release British Sailors
« on: April 04, 2007, 09:26:00 AM »

QUOTE

He repeated Iran's view that the British sailors and marines "invaded" Iranian waters, but said they were being released as a "gift" to Britain.

He said they would be taken to Tehran airport and flown home within hours.

Downing Street welcomed news of the release, while Iranian state media said the British crew members "shouted for joy" on hearing the news.

Finally, it's been a long wait, one of them Sailors/Marines was from Leicester (I live in Leicestershire), it's good to hear they have been released, but as usual the British Government have been so slow, they could of just admitted and they would have been released last Thursday.

I'm surprised all those sailors confessed that they invaded Iranian waters and they don't seem to be physically tortured to make that confession.  What gives?

Judging from the sailors comments it looks like the Iranians played junior psychological warfare.  And now the British government have conveniently allowed the captured sailors, marines to go public with there terrifying <tongue in cheek> experiences.  While passing a bill that prevents other serving military personnel from doing the same thing!
