What pisses me off is in the petition ( http://www.petitiont...l&pet=2240#sigs ) about 10% of the signatures contain the word "nigger" or another racist slur in a negative racist way.

And dont forget Green River Killer, 30+ admitted, and sentenced murders, sentence life in prison.

What is your point. You showed some examples that the law wasnt followed. That doesnt mean it isnt the law. It means there was an exploited loophole. That has nothing to do with this case.

He was found guilty of murder and is an organizer of one of the most murderous gangs in history. He was found guilty by a group of his peers. In accordance with the law, he was executed.

Do you want your tax dollars to pay for him to live out the rest of his life in comfprt or to pay for an actual worthy cause? Jail is made to learn how to interact in a civilzed manner with the rest of the country. He never showed he learned how. This isn't the only guy to ever be executed and he won't be the last.

A founder of a gang which caused misery to many, many people. That's a good enough reason why he should be executed. Good riddens.

Some of you Republicans thinks Tookie is a better man than someone like Michael Moore because Tookie turned to God. Give me a break.

this is a perfect example of not being able to please all the people all the time

they execute him: people complain that the death penalty is inhumane

they keep in in prison for life: people complain they have to pay taxes to feed and shelter him for the rest of his natural life

they release him on parole: people complain they now have a convicted murderer back on the streets

what other options are there? other than shipping all the criminals to australia, lol

This is a perfect example of a minority making it's small insignificant voice heard with the help of lazy reporters who want a quick and easy story. The California "State" Law not to be mistaken with other "State" Laws allows for capital punishment. If this minority that wants thugs like Williams to live actually represented the majority then they would have successfully lobbied for a change to be made to the "State" Law. Comparing the punishment of other thugs and murderers who were sentenced in other states to this case is ridiculous. Heaven forbid the governor of California actually follow the law of his state.

Williams is responsible for starting one of the largest criminal organizations in America not to mention brutally murdering four people (god knows how many others). He should have faced his punishment long ago but like any coward he appealed to the end. The fact that he was able to appeal his case countless times delaying his execution for years proves to me that if anything the system favored him too much.

I hope he enjoys his time in hell.

You posted a PDF file above that outlines the "facts" of the situation. Like every other document it's biased towards its beliefs. Williams has filed many appeals and if there were as many holes in the case as that document would have you believe then he surely would have been afforded a second trial.

As for him being a treasure to humanity now, I don't buy it. Maybe he has helped some people. But he's also killed 4 people. He plotted an escape while on trial that involved killing a sheriffs deputy. The court transcript shows that after the verdict was read he threatened revenge on the jury.

While I'm not compelled to think that I know whether or not capital punishment is right, to think this man is a great, man whose reached atonement is another thing entirely. I might be more apt to believe if he ever apologized for the murders he commited.

its not fuckin racism, he killed 4 people therefore he gets put to death, that is the law
i dont care if your against the death penatly, it is still the law and it must b used
and i believe the lady who drowed her kids (i thought it was 5?) is in jail because she is mentally insane
as for the other guy he must b from a state that doesnt have the death penalty
im glad that he was executed because it shows that you can never get away from justice
oh and i believe that he is the 999th person to b executed since the death penalty was re-instated, just a lil fun fact
