LOL, actually I think i just found out that statecowboy is one of those guys who is 1/32 native. LOL

Im cherokee as well, but my name is not on the Dawes rolls.  Lets just say that my relatives were so scared that they would wind up back on the reservation(really nice places huh) that they lied, and claimed they were mexican(at least i think thats what it was).  

Sorry for the lil biography, but thats part of the reason that statecowboys remarks pissed me off so much.  My family had such a fear of the government, that when they asked them if they were cherokee and offered to give them some reparations that they flat out lied(which is really funny, since no one in my family looks hispanic) and continued to lie, just to avoid being violated again.

I cant believe that Statecowboy actually claimed that the reservations were what we had "given back to the Indians".  Yeah, just like the Germans gave the Jews back small plots of land during world war II called concentration camps.

Correct me if I'm wrong...as I most likely am, as I dont read the bible and havent done much study-ing on the subject. But I beleive it states somewhere in Christain beleif that all people are born with original sin. And you have to cleanse your soul of this by bassically just being a good person and living as a good Christian. So I have to agree with you xmedia, Salvation is earned not given, its a privilege not a right. Now I'm not Christian and I dont beleive in hell so I could care less, hehe. Now that I think about it, I'm pretty sure I heard this off South Park

Most mainstream Christian beliefs focus on salvation by faith, not works.  The belief stems from the theory that we can never make up for the sin of man, therfor God sent his son Jesus to bare the burdon of the world.  By accepting that Jesus died for the sins of man, one has been reconciled with God the Father.  I hope this clears your question up.
