QUOTE
In addition, blacks and whites draw very different lessons from the tragedy. Seven-in-ten blacks (71%) say the disaster shows that racial inequality remains a major problem in the country; a majority of whites (56%) say this was not a particularly important lesson of the disaster. More striking, there is widespread agreement among blacks that the government's response to the crisis would have been faster if most of the storm's victims had been white; fully two-thirds of African Americans express that view. Whites, by an even wider margin (77%-17%), feel this would not have made a difference in the government's response.

They should have surveyed by social class distinction.

I wonder if Baby Bush will follow in his fathers footsteps and have the poor rioting in the streets.

QUOTE
April 26th, 1992
There was a riot on the streets
Tell me where were you?
You were sittin' home watchin' your TV
While I was participating in some anarchy
First spot we hit it was the liquor store
I finally got all that alcohol I can't afford
With red lights flashin', time to retire
And then we turned that liquor store into a structure fire
Next stop we hit, it was the music shop,
It only took one brick to make the window drop
Finally we got our own P.A.
Where do you think I got this guitar that you're hearing today?
(Cuz' as long as I'm alive, I'ma live ill cool.gif
When we returned to the pad to unload everything
It dawned on me that I need new home furnishings
So once again we filled the van until it was full
Since that day my livin' room's been much more comfortable
Cause everybody in the hood has had it up to here
It's getting harder, and harder, and harder each and every year
Some kids went in a store with their mother
I saw her when she came out she was gettin' some Pampers
They said it was for the black man
They said it was for the mexican
But not for the white man
But if you look at the streets, it wasn't about Rodney King
It's this fucked-up situation and these fucked-up police
It's about comin' up and stayin' on top
And became 187 on a mother fuckin' cop
It's ain't in the paper, it's on the wall

well i guess im among the whites as i think it had less to do with the majority of the victims being black and more to do with the entirety being poor and a fucking useless, ineffective governing body...

A statement like that makes me imagine you slapping a kid in a diaper and drinking a beer at the same time while saying that.  In fact you hit the kid so hard that your trailer kind of rocked a little bit.  That sounds like a nice white person stereotype doesn't it.   laugh.gif

I think all the racial bullshit is a bunch of non-sense, I dont like bush at all.  None in fact.   But I dont think he could have done much to stop a natural fucking disaster.  And did you see any of those poor mother fuckers on the news saying "Hey we need help could someone give us rides out of here?"  "Or Can someone send my family a ride"   --Hell no, those mother fuckers were too busy smoking crack, shooting heroin and living off what the government gives them.  They knew that shit was coming, they could have walked out of LA, but NO they stayed, they got fucked up and now they are crying trying to pull some OJ simpson shit for somethign that was there own damn fault. They lived below sea level and a hurricane was coming WTF did they expect?  Bush to escort them personally out?    -- You knwo why he couldn't?  Becasue they have been spending the money it would have taken for the past decade on welfare.. It's there own damn fault.

I didn't hear a single rapper complain that "President Bush hates white people" back in 1992.

That's because rappers, like most public figures, have become politicians with their own shitty agendas.

The pew research center has conducted a survey regarding Katrina and has had interesting results
The Source

And exactly what point is this so called survey that has no bearing in scientific or that part mathematical fact.

I am a little surveyed out especially when they have no tangible meaning.  I could ask 15 people if they believed in bigfoot and duplicate results above.

Whats the point.
