Using "Asian" seems rather racist, actually, considering not all Asians are from eastern Asia (Japan, China, Vietnam, the Philippines, Indonesia, etc.), which is what the terms "Asian" and "Asian-American" seemingly are referring to.
I hope you know that a term is only considered racist when that certain group of individuals or race, feels it is derogatory in nature.
