Base Realignments And Closures

Is anyone here being directly affected by the BRC?  I see that FT Carson Colorado is getting pumped up.... reminiscent of the Pre-Draft Vietnam Era.

all part of the destruction of Amerika....

what's sad is the people can't seem to get it... closing all these bases to save around $50 billion, when the defacto government spends money in the trillions on phoney fucking wars for the corporate elite and that POS state of Israel..

anyone know that we give Israel $6-7 billion a year for financial aid... and what do they give us?? one fucking war after another...

I believe that some if not many of the bases being closed could be considered money pits but I would think that we would allow for transition.  It seems odd to "realign" in such a fly by night fashion.  This kind of negative publicity will hurt recruiting.  Especially when many recruits come from smaller land locked base oriented towns.  Perhaps they know that recruiting will not be an issue in the future.

"I've made it very clear... the use of federal money, taxpayers' money, to promote science which destroys life in order to save life, I'm against that," he told reporters.

"If the bill does that, I will veto it," Mr Bush said, threatening to use his presidential right for the first time in almost five years that he has been in office.
