I would have agreed with this point, if you hadn't left out one key point (added in bold above).
The contracted American workers who go over to Iraq, do so knowing their lives are in danger, but not to hurt any Iraqi's. While this certain iraqi did have the intent to kill American soldiers. This Iraqi had been in a fire fight with the soldiers in question ealier, this being the way he recieved his injuries. So the iraqi was armed, is dangerous, and has the intent to kill the soldiers. I would have agreed with the point above, if you hadn't left out that one detail.

Last time I checked, we were occupying them. I don't see why we wouldn't expect our troops to get shot and die, we are attacking their homes.
