Actually Kerry wouldn't do the same thing. Kerry said along the lines of "send us your sick, send us your poor" and wanted basically anyone who made it across the border to be legal.

They live in our country illegally, don't pay taxes, and take jobs away from others because they'll work for a lot lesss, just to name a few reasons. They also bring drugs, weapons, disease, and poverty with them.

A common misconception.  How the hell would you know what jobs people find demeaning?  Since when is cooking food a demeaning job.  Fact of the matter is, cheapass employers hire illegal immigrants simply because they can... and they can do it for less than minimum wage.  These employers are shameless profiteering assholes.  But they wouldn't have the option if we had better border policies, would they.

Another poor response.  That doesn't make an ounce of sense.  Why would people take trains and busses from tijuana to san diego and los angeles so we could "impoverish" them?  OBVIOUSLY, they're making moore than they would back home in TJ.


California does have a huge burden of illegal immigrants.  Public schools are horribly overcrowded and are rated the lowest in the country.  It has much to do with the fact that teachers are overwhelmed and the schools are almost completely broke.  Sounds like a problem to me.

California pays more in vehicle taxes and insurance than any other country.  Much of this is because we have the highest percentage of uninsured drivers - many of whom are illegal.  So, naturally I pay more for car insurance because they cannot.

Once again, I welcome immigration.  However, I find it disrespectul and ultimately unfair to other immigrants when people flood across the border and self-declare assylum illegally in another country.  What about all the legitimate immigrants who took exams, payed taxes, and took the proper path to citizenship.  How do you compensate them for their time and effort?  Why would anybody bother becoming a citizen, huh?  I'm sure if you had a big problem with it in your background, you'd be whistling a different tune.

Yep, just the ones taking our low paying jabs and not paying taxs in general, but still geting the benifits of free health care.
Our family members joined the army knowing that there could be a war, that's what the army does, it fights wars.
They're not helping with it. Every year, the government has to spend money on keeping the immigrants out and health care for them. So, in a way, they are increasing our deficit.
Nope, just stealing our jobs here.

It's the land of hypocrisy, not the land of the free, a country populated by immigrants. Unless your a Native American, the you honestly have no right in saying who should enter this country. The diversity and cultural mix are what distinguish our nation from others but nationalism has a way of blinding individuals from this.

You're right, we are all immigrants, much like everyone else in the world in their countries, save a couple of descendents form the mesopotamian area.
The thing is, we now have a government setup in the United States of America. The native americans didn't live in that nation, they lived in the North American continent in their own tribes. Now the government has setup laws, and created legal ways for people to enter and live in this nation. The majority of people here are natives to the nation, and are citizens due to that. Many are legal citizens, people who took their time to do it the right way(like my family), and others are just slackers and leeches.
I don't have anything wrong with immagrants that plan on becoming legal citizens, just the ones incapible of speaking english, who leech off our tax payers and send the money they earned back home to feed their family's nation's economy.

Baner: Healthcare in america is never free.

There are 2 services offered by the government, one is Federal Funded Social Security, this insurance is only offered to retiree's after the age of 55(at minimal benfits) the benefits increase as the member reaches 65. The federal funded insurance known as Medi-care only pays for 80% of doctor visits and has no coverage for prescription drugs. Meaning a retiree on a fixed income may pay half or all of their allowed federal income on healthcare. Drug companies are the ones to blame for their ridiciulous prices. But no on cares as long as someone is making a profit.

The other is State Funded Medic-aid(names change throughout the states) this insurance is offered through the Social Services division of the state. It's only offered to individuals with a Social Security Number that qualify based on their income. The catch with the state run insurance is that it is only offered for 7 years, during this time the patient must make frequent visits with the social services department to try and attain training or some other form of job placement. During this 7 year period if the individual's income exceeds the allowed minimum then the individual must reimburse the state for all medical fees aquired within that fiscal year.

I still don't know who the leeches are.
