-a Xboxhdm?
« on: October 24, 2006, 03:34:00 PM »

When using xboxHDM and locking and unlocking harddrives what does -a mean after the command. I noticed it tutorials is says to put this after certain commands but I don't know why.
It the XboxHDM readme it doesn't say anything about that. It just says to lock Hd type "LockHD" or something similar where the tutorials would put "LockHD -a"

Any Help would be greaty appreciated!
Thanks in advance

LockHD is a program that is capable running multiple ways.  Adding the -a tells it run it "automatic" mode.  AKA:  it will look in predefined locations for your eeprom.bin file and use what it finds (if it finds anything) to lock your hard drive.

There are other commands that, for example, allow you to manually define where to look for the eeprom.bin.  But for 99% of users, lockhd -a is all you need to know.

Please note that it will only identify "eeprom.bin" not "EEPROM.BIN" or "eeprom.BIN" etc etc etc...
