Hi all,
I hope this is the right forum for such a question. My hard drive has been temperamental for a while now, so I'm in the process of transferring everything over to a new 320gb driver from my dodgy 120gb drive.
The drive is all setup and working, 320gb being recognised fine, EvoX installed etc etc. I have FTP'd all my stuff over the my PC, which worked fine at a rock solid 8-10mb per second, no problems.
Now, trying to FTP back onto the new hard drive, large video files are going over fine, but when I transfer a folder with many sub folders and smaller files, the FTP connection starts fine, then slows down drastically, eventually coming to a halt and killing the FTP server on the xbox. I have tried with a variety of clients (flashFXP, FTP-pro etc etc) and then all do the same thing. FlashFXP lasted the longest, but takes forever transferring each individual file in a sub folder - I left it running overnight but again it had died half way through.
This is very frustrating!! can anyone offer any advice? The only thing I haven't checked is whether the original hard drive can accept these FTP files or not, will do so this evening. I had also planned to try the FTP server built in to XBMC and see if that made any difference. Other than that, my drive is unlocked, should it show up if I plugged into a PC or is the FATX structure just not compatible?
Thanks in advance for any help.
