are you retarded?!?!? watch fox news tonight and see for yourself.  It is soooo rediculously right winged.  I urge everybody to watch fox news tonight for a couple hours and see what i'm talking about.  Not your local fox news, the fox news channel.  And watch O'Reilly Factor from 7-8 Indiana East time.  Tell me it's not just a bunch of left bashing.  Even foxnews.com is biased as hell

thomes08

O'Reilly is an openly conservative commentator, with an opinion based show, not a news reporting program.

I've said it before and I've said it again: Fox News is not a conservative channel, most other news sources are just so far left, moderation seems extreme.

jesus christ, how many times have you said that

nemt, thats all you ever say or accuse, you always blame the problems on the left, i bet you'd even blame the rising death toll in iraq on left wingers in the army or some crazy shit

the fact is, your to far RIGHT to see that you have no idea what your saying, but you still believe it to be true

basically, your the most biased and accuing person i have ever met

edit

o god, i forgot on s on accusing, the world will end

The argument of news stations being left or right is a moot point.  That discussion could go on for centuries... longer than the lives of the stations themselves.  You guys should save your breath.

But bill o'reilly is an opinionated commentator, not a news anchor.  Same goes for Hannity and Colmes.  It's not news, but rather political commentary.  Fox is definitely more right-friendly (and slanted) than other news sources, simply because the political commentary is primarily conservative.  I will go ahead and say that I believe CNN to have a healthy left slant.  All news sources are full of shit.  They all add their spin to any political news anyway.

Doesn't O'Reilly claim to not be right wing or conservative anyway?

No, he claims not to be a republican, which he isn't.

His opinions are almost always conservative.  You can be a conservative independent.  The "No Spin Zone" gimic is mostly for marketing.  There's always spin.  Every movie, every TV show, every book, every radio station, every song, you name it -- there's always spin.

Maybe nemt should refuse daddies trust fund for a few weeks and try and live on minimum wage. I think everyone should try that at least once. It may sem extreme but it gives you an idea about how a lot of people live.

that's a lie.... BO says "the spin stops here, cause we're definatly looking out...for you" or some shit  biggrin.gif

There is no spin, o'reilly always has guests on both sides of the issue, and gives the full story.

I've never gotten on nemt's case.  I'm generally a conservative, but even I must recognize that o'really's commentary is also conservative.  His guests usually oppose him, otherwise the show wouldn't be interesting.  There needs to be conflict.  But in the end, the host is usually arguing conservatively, making the show itself predominantly conservative.

Of course he's a conservative, that's the point of the show, if he were a moderate, it would be a news broadcast.  Consequently, he's also the highest rated primetime cable news program.

Ratings don't mean anything really.  Friends was a high ranked show but its garbage.  The Big Lebowski was a great movie but it lasted one week in the theatre I worked at so quanity isn't always quality.

No, but it shows how starved the cable news audience is for a fair and balanced show.  O'Reilly is the only show with both sides of every issue covered, always.  When was the last time Chris Matthews had someone on with half a brainstem who disagreed with him?

Man, you made me re-read through these posts for nothing.  There isn't one damn issue I'm dodging.
