I may disagree with someone's post, but agree with a later, different one.  This does not mean I "hop sides".  I simply use non-partisan thought and build my opinions on my own.  I take in each post I read separately.  But if you caught me hopping sides, I'd love to see where so I can eat my words.

Just because I don't have a clearly liberal/conservative opinion on a particular issue just makes me an independent thinker, not John pussy-ass Kerry or George numb-nuts Bush.

Forget Bush failed, this thread has totally. At the moment we have 5 people on one side of the argument but were screwed because were up against the indomitable force of Dark Link, we cant win!!!
Were just bitchin between ourselves over moot points.

This is the last I will post in this thread so to sum up Bush did fail. Afghanastan is fucked, Iraq is turning into another Vietnam, your economy is going to shit and Bush has managed to make America more hated around the world. But dont worry because whatever happens to America, Britain follows closely behind with Tony Blair's tongue planted firmly up Bush's arse.

It really is our economy.  If you think that the US economy can go down like the titanic and not take everyone with it you are sadly mistaken.

if the US goes down, the only thing other nations would miss is the constant cowboy like army attacking everyone, and the huge ass deficit were creating

ummm....actually the economy is getting better...
albiet slowly, but it is getting better.

hehe, i wouldn't say "indomitable force" but ill take it as a compliment, whether you meant it that way or not.
i mean, really, im not trying to convince anyone to change their mind, just state my view of things....sorry if ive been sounding mean, been really crabby lately because something has screwed up my sleep and i cant figure out what it is.  if i can get to sleep before 2 am, im lucky.  and since i have to get up at 6:50 am for work, welll....so i apologize if i offended you.  i do tend to get pretty arrogant.  but come on, at least admit i had some good points!!!

o yeah and i did remember one time i lost a forum arguement....i got tired of the whole thing and stopped posting.  there was actually someone more persistent than me!!!!

Iraq....things are actually going good.  more people have electricity, water, education, from a humanitarian standpoint, things are going great.  Security is definitely a problem however.  Afghanistan....I can't really see where things are horrible there.  We should be looking harder for Osama, i mean, if we can find Sadaam in a hole in the desert, we should be able to find Osama...but they DO have a democracy there now, so it is successful.  let me state my actual viewpoint on the whole thing:

If we knew what we know now before Iraq, there was no reason to go to war.  In fact, we shouldn't have.  But the CIA exaggerated the info, and the Bush administration acted on that.  I don't really know if Bush knew the information was flawed or not, but I assume he didn't.  We were right in the middle of the Afghan war, and he knew another war would not go over very well, I mean, thats just commone sense.  The war was needed on humanitarian grounds, not security reasons, and the Bush administration needs to admit this and say they were wrong.  I think this will go over better with the people of the US then insisting Sadaam was a dangerous foe.

And you had better hope our economy doesn't go to "shit" because if it does, we pull the rest of the world down with us.  Even in the 1920's when we did not have as much of a global economy as we do now, the entire planet felt the effects of the Great Depression.  Since its on a much larger scale, it would effect everyone else a lot more.

"You have probably not won a single argument.
As a 13 yearold or a 40 year old with a 13 year old brain you have yet to learn/understand that people quickly realise that unintelligent diC8heads have no effect on world politics and usually either develop brain cells once they find thier first woman and realise they are dickhea*ds or they inject shite into thier lonely elbows and disapear."

and my, my arnt we nasty here.  i have never actually lost a forum arguement, save one which i mentioned above, but ive only been in about 15 or so.  and like i said, they end up dying out.  I never said I won every single arguement.  I only won about 2 of those.   And im 17.  I don't know where you got the 13 idea.   And apparantly you are as stupid as you sound, even if I WAS 13, i could watch a PG-13 movie.  As it is, pretty much I don't watch movies.  I game.  Im a gamer.  A geek.   Put it however you want.  Beating the Quake III master at a LAN party is my idea of excitement.  I'm actually a pretty boring person.  laugh.gif

And to the people who "Im and american and not proud of it"

MOVE THEN!   if you hate our country so much and think the economy is so bad and it would be so much better then anything else, the MOVE somewhere better.
you are the lowest fithly piece of slime to ever crawl the planet.  okay sorry, i ddint really mean that seriously, but come on.  if you are going to complain about how bad it is, the least you can do is make things "better" for yourself.

oh and before i forget, i think its the suicide car bombers that are killing civilians.  not the Americans.  just thought id remind you.

there is probably more that i havn't read, but im too lazy to read the rest of the posts on the other pages, and im gonna go paint my pc case now.  gonna be an awesome mod job, 4 consoles + pc, thee 4 are a GCN, a NES, an N64, and an XBOX.  all in a midtower case.  and everything fits, which i wasnt sure i could do.  and with room to spare, and i have fans that move 106 cfm, so theres plenty of air flow and little overheating issues.   thought id say that since i know someone is going to mention something about heat.

wow i get off topic easy.
and i want to hand it to you, you guys are a lot better at flaming and arugeing both tehn the other forums i used to go to.  this is much more interesting.  so the drinks are on me.  beerchug.gif

thats a pretty good post for the most part but

you cant really move if your country is turning to shit because of the leader, that just means your a pussy, but what you can do is complain, get other people to think like you and then protest, vote, and do whatever you can to turn that government around

also, the world, iraq and the economy isnt doing as good as you think, i havnt seen any of it turn around yet.....

/me ignore Dark link

UnPro: For a starter, there are different kinds of pride. It's an unmoral pride to agree with the war on Iraq(in my very strong opinion). But if your country dares to stand against when superpower's like USA do something wrong you could probably feel some real pride.

I'm by no means proud that Sweden has been a superpower. Because the way you become a superpower is through pure slaughter, Sweden was no exception. From my POV 200 years of peace isn't even much, if I said 5000 years I'd probably be proud. In USA you seem proud that you HAVE a war about each decade. Eventhough USA don't always fight in wars(which it feels like though) you do slauhter people in Africa by not aiding them. Sure Europe don't aid them that much either but we don't rip them off the way USA do.

Pride is also cultural. In Sweden we never speak of pride. You don't hear people here say "Oh, I'm soooo proud of you, son". And I'm glad of that since it's exploited in USA.

What I instead could be proud of is that UNDP came with its annual Human development report claiming Norway to be the best and Sweden to be the second best country to live in. USA was nr.8 .   Sweden and Norway are some of the most socialistic countries in the world. I'm not sure but aren't all countries before USA socialistic(in some way)? The only countries except Sweden I might consider living in is Norway and the Netherlands, and probably Canada. (Australia is too hot for me.)

 1.  Norway
 2.  Sweden
 3.  Australia
 4.  Canada
 5.  Netherlands

 6.  Belgium
 7.  Iceland
 8.  USA
 9.  Japan
 10. Irland

You see these stuffs there is a reason to be proud of, but we can be a lot more socialistic before I would say I'm proud. The only reason USA is as high as nr.8 is because you exploit other countries like Iraq. The attack on Vietnam made you very rich. If you became socialistic you'd (eventually) be higher on this list, because you're then a good country, and there'd be no more stupid capitalistic wars.

Please tell me how wrong I am and explain in your better words why the two nordic countries, Sweden and Norway is on top of the list and not you.

I'm sure the official number's say so(eventhough I don't have the figures). But yesterday, I heard on the radio (I think it was) that not very much of the money USA give as aid come to nothing but other "top"-people. I hope this isn't so, but I wouldn't doubt it either.

UnPro: Yeah I know what you mean, Europe (strangely enough) isn't that much better. I think Europe should set an example and cut their debts(not that easy of course). I would be even more glad if USA started cutting some of the debts, but it seems a bit more unrealistic.
We are too dependant on your economy, I think that's one of the reasons we don't help african countries.

I'd like to think the notion that US aid doesn't really come from the US is just rhetoric from anti-US figures.  I suppose none of us know for sure, but it does sound a bit like a conspiracy theory, which are usually hogwash.
