I'm not sure where you went with this. Are you saying that the Bible was flawed when it was written? That you can interpret the laws that were written as the current day sees fit? That seems a fair bit different that the absolute God's laws you mentioned earlier.
I'm personally not a believer in the judeo-christian faiths, but I arrived at that point after a good deal of research.

Please do so, maybe in another thread?
The way I see it, there is certainly influence from the bible evident in our current system of laws. However, concepts like "eye for an eye" predate the bible, in Hammurabi's code.
If you're going to abandon something absolute like God's laws, why are only some exempt?

I was trying to make a point as in, God's law has been there since the beginning, even if it was not written down. And I never said the Bible was flawed, where did I say that, or was it how I had it worded?

And WTF is a Judeo-Christian?

Any way, as for some laws being exempt today, the way I understand it is an old law that is no longer needed. Some laws are more principle rather than law. I will have to sit down and do a little research and talk with some people who would know more than I would.

With in the new few days, I should be able to answer your question as to the "laws" in the old testament and why some are not used today and why people of old were more bound to them than we are.

Call social services and ask them how much you could get for your daughter on the free market and they will tell you why there is no biblical law in government. wink.gif
