Big Bang = False?
« on: April 22, 2004, 07:30:00 PM »

I was reading this on cbsnews for research and i stumbled upon this...

QUOTE
One of its most important contributions to science was nailing down the discovery that the expansion of the universe - that began with the Big Bang -is not slowing down.

Dr. Ed Weiler is the head of space science for NASA and the person in charge of the Hubble space telescope.

“Not only isn’t the universe slowing down, it’s speeding up,” says Weiler...

Since the universe is expanding faster each day, does that mean the big bang is false (or some aspects of it atleast)? AFAIK the universe should be expanding slower and slower until it comes to a hault and then collapses in the "big crush". any one know anything about this?

Basically, the Big Bang is a Big Dud.  There is absolutely zero proof that it happened, yet science touts it as fact.  Now, if you want to BELIEVE it happened, thats perfectly fine....just dont pass it off as fact.  Basically, the Big Bang states that "Nothing exploded, and created everything."  yea right......

I (or any scientist) never stated it was a FACT, but a theory.... and what do you mean by "nothing exploded"... i thought it was a singularity that created everything... ?

Thinking about stuff like this fucks up your head...
I do it a lot  wink.gif
No matter how the 'whole thing' started, be it big bang or other powers, it means that everything is possible.
Now I know I sound crazy but here me out.
It is Scientifically IMPOSSIBLE to create something out of nothing (e.g. nothing can be created nor destroyed.) However the beggining of the earth directly contradicts this, if you go back far enough there HAS to be nothing somewher. Fact.
So that means that something has been created from nothing.
Therefor everything is possible unsure.gif

and what about the theory that the universe is self contained, somewhat in the shape of a soccer ball (ie, made up of planes), and if you reached its edge, you would just be 'teleported' and come out the other side?

cant be botherd to find the article now...  wink.gif

i do not believe that we evolved from monkeys, yet  we do have very simular DNA
we are a different speices all together.

i ask u 1 question , if we evolved from monkeys, then when will the monkeys that are here now evlove? into humans?
and why did they not evolve with the rest of us??

i believe matter can be destoyed , but only by ani-matter
ani - matter excists just outside of a matter particle almost as a link
scienitist have prooved anti-matter excists
when living matter dies, the ani - matter does not, and is detached .

which brings in two worlds ani- material and material world- we live in the material world.

if these two worlds were to colide , scientists believe that the material world would be destroyed, and the anti-material world would still exist.

about the something from nothing:
the big bang theory states that a little ball of dense matter (all of the matter in the universe) exploded and created "dust" all overt the place. this "dust" condenced and formed planets, moons, stars ect.
so ur not creating something from nothing it was here all the time

i believe the big bang theory some what, some things just dont make sense but it does have a strong foot hole

it all depends on weather you believe that things happen for a reason or if things happen for no perticular reason @ all/

I say we all just believe in God...I mean say the big bang is true, and this "bang" came from dust...well i'd say God put it there. "In the begging God created the heavens and the earth" Genesis 1:1

We need to all reflect on that passage...

I say the sceintists just drop the whole thing...i mean what if we were created by Aliens and they control us, or maybe Earth is a TV show...Maybe I'm real and your not, I always wondered why it feels more real when i'm dreaming than when i'm awake....

NEO, GET ME OUT OF HERE..........

y did you quote me? i disagree that we evolved from monkeys, but what i was saying is that we (humans) and monkeys bothe evolved from a creature...

So what has become of what ever we evolved from?
will monkeys ever evlove into humans, if so when?
will humans ever turn into mokeys?

we have a simular anatonmy to the monkey that is all , which is not suprising looking @ a monkey life style.

why is there no half way point? there are monkeys and humans no inbetween
