RuFf rYdA,

BenJeremy totally owned you dude.  Clearly you should go over to live in your beloved Palistinian land, cause you obviously don't like, or respect any of the freedoms you are enjoying now.  If the US didn't use political pressure to restrain Israel from going all out... there wouldn't be nearly as much terrorism against Israel.  Given the US approval and support, Israel could quickly and swiftly stop the vast majority of the terror strikes against its land, but honestly, the US government is controlled by pansies that are still pissing in their diapers, and they urge Israel to not resort to military action.  Truely a sad state of affairs...

As for who is sending the bombers, it's the parents and leaders of HAmas and the PA who are sending them. The parents out of ignorance, the PA and Hamas out of a desire to gain political power.

Don't think it's really that simple, because many of the 'terrorists' have had parts of their family killed in the fighting.  All they want is revenge, and they're willing to blow themselves up for it.  It still doesn't justify killing civilians, but I guess that's why they're doing it.

I won't pretend to know the exact history, but it feels like it's gone to a point where no side is willing to stop.

If Palestine lays down its weapons, there will be no more war.
If Israel lays down its weapons, there will be no more Israel.

That's pretty inaccurate.

Israel has defeated the arabs in war numeruous times, just like the Europeans defeated the Indians.  When you lose war, you lose land, or should Hitler still control Europe?  Not to mention, New York was bought from the Indians, not gained by conquest.

Also, the UN created Israel as one of its first actions, so what you're saying works against your argument, not for it.

That's right on target as far as Israel and Palestine are concerned... couldn't have spoken the truth better then that...

No, it's not that simple (my intended audience for that, however, probably can't process the vagueries and complexity of political and cultural motivations involved).

In reality, it has as much to do with the way Arab/Islamic culture deals with honor/shame/revenge, as well as a well-funded, cult-like indoctrination of Palestinians, from infanthood, to hate "infidels" - yes, including you and me, but most especially the Jews - as invaders of their Holy Land. The Arabs have been shamed by their multiple defeats at the hands of the Israelis, the Palestinians for taking refuge from the battles and/or participation in those defeats.

Nothing less than the elimination of Jews from the middle east will appease these folks. Make no mistake about that.

60 years ago we had a name for people like that: Nazis.

The big difference is that back then the Jews didn't have security and defense forces patrolling the ghettos to prevent the wholesale murder of millions of people seen as outsiders and hated for their religion.

I often see pictures of Arafat surrounded by children, or Palestinian tots carrying pistols. We've all seen the pics of the baby posed with suicide bomber belts and Hamas head band... the product of a sick, rotten-to-the-core culture.

If Islam is supposedly so peaceful, why do all of the world's problems seem to stem out of violence perpetrated by Muslims? What am I missing here? Where are the calls from the Imams and other Holy men to cease such action or spend eternity in Hell? Why are Mosques being used as armories or rallying points as Mullahs and Ayatollas call for infidel blood?

Behind much of it all is Oil Money. Saudis who flaunt their own religion, for example, and the abject poverty in their own country by distracting the Arab world with a largely MADE UP "situation" in Israel. If the Arab oil barons poured half the money they do into terrorism world wide, instead into taking care of the Palestinians, the situation would be far different.

Then again, why should they do that.... then there'd be far less motivation for the Palestinians to send their children and (supposed) loved ones off to kill themselves in order to destroy a bus loaded with school children, women and others who have never wished them harm.

P.S. The previous post was not intended to offend those Muslims who honestly believe they belong to a peaceful, loving religion. I only wish to sidestep political correctness by stating the obvious.

Christians do a hell of a lot of screwed up things, and you'll NEVER see me support them in their actions. Why Muslims feel the need to support a fellow Muslim when they commit acts of PURE EVIL is beyond my ability to comprehend. Some do it in other religions, but not so consistently (Catholics supporting child molesting clergy is one example).

I have great tolerance for other's beliefs and cultures, but not those that are destructive on such a massive scale.

I cannot fathom why people justify the cowardly act of sending somebody to blow themselves up on a busload of civilians, for any purpose.

I don't think it's that hard to fathom. There wasn't suicide bombers with the first partition of the state. It's come from years of desperation... they have no weapons left and no way to fight diplomatically.

Terrorism is a method not an ideology
