Usb Cable Modem W/ Gentoox

I got a com21 usb cable modem and was wondering if i stick it in a USB adapter slot in the xbox would it work or not... I ve not tried it yet... wanted to know if anyone had tried it and if so, would it be as easy as just plug and play.
