Dualdisc Cd/dvd's
« on: April 19, 2006, 12:22:00 PM »

These have been around for about a year and a half and now I've got a couple of these DualDiscs; and I'm starting to like these.  I like the fact that you can listen to them in stereo on the CD side; then flip it over and you can listen in 5.1 surround sound and then watch the extras like video clips and other content.

I give 'em two thumbs up.IPB ImageIPB Image

they arent bad, even though it costs more generally im more of a fan of a full DVD release by bands, i like to keep my movies and music seperate

though the few i have i definately enjoy the features, but i dont like the lack of cover art, and i always think its upside down

Some CD players that you can put several disk have a tendancy of scratching the DVD side. My Cd-rom has a problem reading them as well meaning I can't burn the CD side to make a copy that I can put in multi-disk player to prevent the DVD side scratching problem I was having in the first place. They're pretty ugly too having both sides dedicated to data and none for album art. Of course the album is pretty much dead these days isn't it?

I do like DVD-Audio though, just not sold on dualdisc.
