I went to the world premeire event @ the Hollywood Bowl last year. It was incredibly geeky but pretty damn cool as well. They had a few kinks to work out still, but it was promising. I hope it sticks around as it is something I wouldn't mind going to every year.

I know this is slightly off topic, but Tommy Tallarico -- Wow.... This guy is SO pro-Sony and SO anti-MS it's not even funny.

I've seen him MANY times on G4TV on many different shows. I know a *lot* about him, too. He is talented and made his own way into the industry and I respect that. It just disgusts me how anti-Xbox and ant what a Sony fanboy he is.

He should be more unbiased.

If the PS3 does have Blu-Ray and is within $100 of the same price of an Xbox 360 -- I'll buy one on one condition - The supposed major online network they are creating turns out to be as good as it's said/rumored to be. And this is despite the fact I'm pro-HD-DVD.

So people, please, don't call me a MS fan-boy because obviously if you just read what I said I am not. As a matter of fact, I even bought the PS1 within 5 days of launch when they were collecting dust on shelves as no one wanted one as everyone wanted the Saturn. I loved the my PS. The PS2 was a joke for me, though, in technical terms but moreso in gaming - A) they really, REALLY focused more on Japanese games that I do not like at all,

they continued to put out more low-quality games as they did with the PS1, and C) they pretty much didn't care about supporting online play at all.

With all this said, let's get back to the topic -- this show and this video. It's great. I love it.

Great post/find, X-S, and even though I am not a fan of Tommy Tallarico at *all* I still thank him and the other guy (sorry I forgot his name) for making this video possible.

I find Tommy to be more amusing than a good critic for all things games, i definetly don't share his opinions often. He still hasn't really grown up but that's probably his best asset to be creative. It would be nice for leaders in the industry to not take sides but they're only human and we have to live with that

Remember g4tech at E3 last year? they were basically heckling fans in the crowd for saying the 360 made a better showing.

I see your point... But I don't find him amusing, really at all. He's so biased on every show I see him on it makes it painful to watch. On that one show where he and Victor Lucas review games, his bias bleeds out of his body and through your TV set and into your ears and makes them bleed. He seems like a jerk. Victor Lucas seems like a really nice guy and is VERY fair in his ratings for games on that show (I think it's "Electric Playground" but I'm not sure and besides, Tommy is on other shows, too) and is not bias in any way that I have ever been able to tell. I'm surprised Victor Lucas doesn't try and rid Tommy of his bias and personality of coming off as a jerk (maybe that parts just me). Oh well...

Like I said, I still respect him for his knowledge, contributions to the gaming industry, and his accomplishments with his audio studio and everything else, but when I see him on G4 I want to mute my TV set until he's done talking or change the channel.

EDIT: Come to think of it, I think the show pairs those two together just to have a bias reviewer who has a personality that makes him come off as kind of a jerk, too. It makes for better TV. I'm 99% sure this is the case.

Again, that movie was great and I thank X-S for the linkage.

This event is on the last day of GDC 2006 in San Jose Ca on March 25th I believe.

I am probably not going to get the HD-DVD for the Xbox 360. I'm 99% sure of it. I am buying the Toshiba one that comes out within 4-5 weeks or less (next month - March) for $499.99.

But who knows, if the Xbox 360 one gets good reviews and can benefit me in any other way than just movies, than I will buy that one, too.

Money is no object.
