music doesn't have to be how complex your guitar skills are.

Just because someone likes something you don't doesn't make your music "better" at all.  Just learn to live with knowing the fact that you can't change other people's taste in anything if it's music or food or even how many pillows you have in your bed.  If you enjoy it then just listen to it who cares if anyone else likes it and be happy.

If greenday were to put solos in there songs it would just sound crap.
Different genre.. different style of play.
It's impossible to dictate to people what music to listen to..  It's abit like; religion, food, politics, films, marmite. We all have are own opinions, I think we are free to choose what music we like without being told what to listen to. I don't know 'bout anyone else but I can honestly say I don't care what other people think of my taste.

Hip hop all the way, if people understood and listened to real hip hop im sure they would see it differently. I like hip hop however i absolutely hate people like 50 cent, and all those commercial bum boys. Underground hip hop really is so much better, however im certain that those good groups if they made it big, they would become crap

its more than just pull offs and hammer ons, it requires talent that basically all the bands today DO NOT have

kirk hammet from metallica is an awesome guitarist and most people can't mimic his solos perfectly
and look at people like randy rhoads and yngwie malmsteen do you think there solos and riffs are just walks through parks
i don't think so
