Xbox Boots 3 Times And Then Flashes Red And Green
« on: August 08, 2006, 05:51:00 PM »

I know this sounds like an easy question to answer....but its different.

This has nothing to do with the modchip or LPC holes. Its to do with the scart, the xbox was working perfectly and then I turned it off and soldered a video coxial to the scart (because this is a custom case, I needed to extend the scart somehow) and then when I turned the xbox on it boots 3 times and christmas trees. I then de-soldered the coxial from the scart, and it is still not working probably uhh.gif

Could anyone help me? I have a version 1.0/

Cheers, Sam

I wouldn't be surprised if the MCPX fried.  You said yourself it's a v1.0 and you were messing with video.  The MCPX is responsible for video along with other things.  And it fries ... a lot.  I've had 3 v1.0's completely die.  Check for traces and burn spots first, but if you can't find anything, it's probably un-fixable.
