I don't know a lot aabout soft mods other than HDD falirues or whatever hdd issue is tuff to resolve; which is why you hard mod. I still don't know y ppl softmod when they can get an xecuter 2.6 for $20 shipped or duox 2 for ten bucks. Its a lot easier.....now to answer your question, If you were launching a game, and somehow now the xbox won't boot, it sounds like something else messed up in your C drive which is odd.....I suggest just chiping your xbox and goin from there

Unfortunately, it is against the rules to distribute XDK-compiled applications on Xbox-Scene. You'll need to obtain them by yourself.

But, by using XboxHDM and the stock Xbox dashboard (which can be taken from a Slayer's EvoX auto-installer disc), you can most likely repair your Xbox. How to do this is explained by the XboxHDM guide in my signature.

Since XboxHDM was not made using the XDK, it is legal to distribute. Here is a direct link to it.

As for posting direct links to other applications, I'd prefer not to because it would be very against Xbox-Scene's policies.

Finally, to download the Slayer's EvoX auto-installer disc, log on to the IRC channel specified, and follow the instructions that are sent to you.

If any Xbox application is compiled using the XDK (which is illegal to possess), the resulting executable would also not be legal to have. Creating a digital image of a disc (an ISO) with XDK-compiled on it does not allow the programs to be legally distributed.

I'd really like to be able to help you further, but the information that I've given you is nearly as specific as possible without going against the rules.

Unfortunately, that is against the rules, as well.

If you click on the 'IRC' button on the Slayer's homepage, how to acquire the auto-installer disc is fully explained. Note that you need to become a member of their forum before continuing with the download process.

When I sign in on that IRC screen it brings an invalid page thing in the box where all the text was explaining the IRC. Could this be the problem and if so, how can I fix it?

Once you are able to access Xbins, you can download a torrent file for the Slayer's EvoX auto-installer disc.

No, you shouldn't need to purchase any hardware to have your Xbox working again.

If you cold-boot the Slayer's EvoX auto-installer disc with your Xbox, and restore the MS dashboard to its hard drive, you should be able to stop errors 13 and 21 from appearing. You'd just have to install your exploit again, though.

Wow that Xbins tutorial was amazing and very easy to follow! I am at the flash fxp where you find your files, where do I find slayer's thingy, I am looking and if I find it I will tell you. I assume it is somewhere in the XBOX folder so if I can't find it please tell me where it is.

Edit:
Ok from that Xbins place I got a C drive and F drive, is this enough or do I need other things from the slayer package?

Oh my god, I didn't do anything at all and now it is giving me error 06. Should I keep doing what I am doing or try another meathod now. Oh and by the way, it gives me error 6 when I boot it with or without a game

Edit:
Oh and if you also have a solution to error 7 that would help because my old xbox has had error 7 forever and it would be nice to fix that one too

wrong option pressed
the lock was never dissabled

it is just too hard to say
also, if you get the c drive files you could restor it just the same with xboxhdm (that is if it is unlocked)

im getting error 13 too... im running evox and this happened after i made GTA SA work from the HDD by changing the video options to all NTSC... i said NO to DEbug TSR.. i turned off my xbox and then on again and launched GTA SA and it worked! so it went to the "Press Start" screen and i turned the xbox off....... i turn the xbox on after an hour and the error 13 screen shows up.... maybe if i delete GTA SA from the drive will it work??.. help please!

EDIT: this happens without putting a CD
