On the french forum, the support from user is far much better, they knew about the homemade adapter months ago and they continued support us... There is no thread anywhere flaming us for the prices, there is no thread about how to use our work without contributing.

I have asked for bugs report and no one seem to have bugs with originals...I sell 40% of my stock in France over 200 sold. Our FW unlocks xbox disk and change the Starting PSN... the bugs reported here is probably not caused by our FW... try to read the disk on your PC with Altus.... Some ppls had problem with the drive installed in TSOP flashed consoles...the same drive in 1.4 xecuter modded xbox works 100%.

Looking at the comments so far I wonder wich team the english community will support... the developpers or the cloners...

well i really do hope if these indonesia do go ahead that NOBOADY supports them this is NOT what the DIY solutions is about , i feel for u on these terms with out a doubt. i didnt elease this is what u had to deal with and i can see were ya coming from now ..
and i really do hope that no one supports them in any way shape or form ..

if people want a pre made adapter it SHOULD come from you and you alone ... and if not you should get contributed, if only for the firmware alone ...

sorry i now see were ya from, i was fighting for the 1 man DIY'er at home getting parts from broken items ! ..

If you read even this whole threat, you would see my reasonably detailed description of how I got everything to fit correctly.  No offence but don't freak out until you have a least spent a few hours researching... and even then don't flame Patx.   He's doing some awesome hardware hacking and you can't even seem to glue two pieces of plastic together without a step by step instruction manual.

I concur.  He's definately flaming you when he hasn't properly researched.  

I find the search function that is available most anywhere is a very helpful tool.  People should learn how to use it to answer their own questions.

If people (like me, 4 8164´s ready to go) are waiting for full xbox emulation, sales of your adapter will surely boost when the new firmware is released.

Not to mention if new and more advanced adapters would be released they would automaticly be more expensive, less would be sold, and you´d probably not get your development costs out.

I just bought one the other day pat and I am waiting to get it.  I was saddened when I read the post until now since you are continueing on this adapter.  This is awesome news.  I fully support you and would never flame you.  I asked you a few questions in 2 emails and you answered me to the fullest so I am with ya and fully support you.    Thank you and special thanks to the programers that make it happen as well I look forward to the new fixed firmware.  Also when it comes down to it I would like to know the procedure for backing up a 360 game with the 8164B drive and firmware as well..

using the firmware of 19-07-2006
not having full emulation means it will NOT cold boot a original game for use on XBL, thats the only restriction ?
it will read originals on a softmoded xbox and everything else a stock xbox drive would including DVD movie's and CD audio ?
are the adapter's shipped from the USA ?

It boots everything on a hard or softmodded xbox... It does NOT work at all on unmodded xbox for now.

this not a flaming thread!  If ya dont like the adapter it is simple dont buy it.  If ya want a great product that will add a port like your xbox's power port to the drive and to help contribute to all those writing the firmware and helping out then buy the adapter but stop arguing.
