Got New Hdtv
« on: September 01, 2007, 12:51:00 PM »

Well it's a Polaroid 26" HDTV, I honestly don't care for the make I only work part time cause I'm at Uni so I can't afford a Sony or what ever I just wanted something for my room.

It has 2 HDMI ports, component, composite (one rear, side), 2 scarts etc VGA in etc. I also got a new freeview box. Oh yer it supports 720P widescreen.

I got my PS2 hooked up by component it looks awesome.

I got it for £299 when it was meant to be £349 at Currys on special offer on there bank holiday deals. Oh yer it has 8MS response time as well and the picture angles and sound quality is awesome.

Not long till I get a 360, I've been waiting for the right moment since launch, now I have a HDTV and the Elite is out now is the time.

Just need to wait for payday which is the 28th, but im selling stuff on Ebay so might get it early.

Also if anything goes wrong with it it dont matter since I got an extra years warranty with it since I bought it on mums nationwide card they do extra warranty so 2 years in total XD.

Polaroid is just the badge name. Vestel based insides.
Just set one up today when doing a remote eye install for Jayne McDonald (Loose Women on ITV). It was a white one. Actually the picture was very good and it had a set of component leads in the box. The plastic base seemed a bit naff, where it clips in but overall very good.
Don't worry about failure too much. You know someone on XS who mends them for a living smile.gif

Heh and your in England Chancer wink.gif.

Like I said if I was getting it for a theatre room I would get an expensive TV brand, but this is just for my room, hell the TV I had before was a £60 tube TV and it's lasted years.

I haven't tried 720P yet but my PS2 in 576I looks awesome, yer it does come with a lot of spares cables, I just wish it came with a long VGA lead lol.

My stand had to be screwed on so it seems pretty solid to me and my cabinet is drilled to the wall so it doesn't woble everywhere if people knock it etc.

And I hooked up my Dreamcast earlier, it looks awesome even in RF lol.
