If you use that monitor you'll have to use the DVI output of your PC and the VGA cable of the Xbox 360.

Also a word of warning... the Xbox 360 does not support that monitors resolution, so no matter what the monitor will have to do some image scaling, which could make or break the image quality (no way to tell for sure)

At very least it will require testing out a number of combinations of settings to determine which gets the best picture quality

read my replay in this thread for a more in-depth answer to the same problem: http://forums.xbox-s...howtopic=609293

Thanks for the reply, I knew about having to use DVI for the computer. What monitor would you suggest to use that would have beter results that isn't over $200?

I don't really have any suggestions... while the 360 supports a lot of VGA resolutions they don't support the two most popular widescreen computer resolutions 1680x1050 and 1440x900...

It's a damn shame too.

The absolute BEST resolution for and LCD to have if using it with an Xbox 360 is 1280x720, Because at that resolution 99% of the time neither the xbox360 nor the LCD will be doing any scaling at all so the image is essentially unscathed from the frame buffer to your eyes. Though unfortunately you'd be hard pressed to find an LCD monitor that is native to that resolution, even LCD TVs rarely support it natively sleep.gif
