Nice! When you are done playing, I would like to see some pics of it in action. Somehow, I don't think that will be for a long time though. biggrin.gif

Nice setup! I know I love my 61" Sammy, I also looked at that same TV but got a killer deal on the Samsung. Congrats, now get the HD-DVD drive and prepare for some eyeball-poppage!!!

i cant decide between the hd dvd and a PS3 with blue ray =(  my 360 doesnt have the hdmi so i have no way of getting 1080p into it, it ups everything to 1080 p though. not sure what to do here.

Maaaaaan that's nice. I love how thin the outer frame is on that. It almost looks as if its just the actual screen itself biggrin.gif

I'd go with the PS3 for your HD movies. It might be different in the US but over here (England) the shops are stocking a wider range of Blue Ray than HD DVD, almost forcing the format upon people with the range of discs available. If you can afford the PS3 now, I say get it if you really want HD now wink.gif As I say it might be a different story in Texas. Personally, I'm waiting it out 'til the format has been chosen.

thanks for the reply, i just cant figure out what to do hehe.  my premium does fine as far as my gaming needs go, so i think i am just throwing money out trading my working premium in for an elite and an hd dvd drive, as nice as it would be. getting a ps3 kinda only makes sense. i get a next gen video format and a (somewhat) next gen game player. (i really like xboxs games though) to be honest i dont want to support either one (BRD or HD-DVD), but man i want crystal clear movies! =)

i head that 1080 p isnt really that much better then 1080i, but if it can handle it why not? right?

Well yeah ofcourse! If you have the money. Don't take it from me only though, get some more advice from others as the HD DVD drive might still be a good option. Take a look at the discs available and see which ones you would like to watch and how much it will cost etc...
