Shop LCDs, get one with a 1280x720 native resolution HDMI and component

judge the picture quality yourself.

I'm partial to Sharp and Samsung, but I've heard lots of good things about Westinghouse, and Sony.

Westinghouse will probably get you the lowest cost though.

Well... I found a better offer and a better size. Instead of 27" I'm getting 32" but still samsung... it's your money but I would say the Samsung 27"LCD is a good hdtv thats built for gaming and movies and such with no lag and good connections.

Vivek, I'm looking at getting one on NewEgg
It's a 27" Olevia, 8 ms response time, 1600:1 contraste ratio
all that for $500 plus 30 or 40 shipping
