Sony Kds-60a2000 And Xbox 360
« on: February 24, 2007, 02:23:00 AM »

I'm interested in getting this TV

http://www.amazon.co...n/dp/B000GZUN9W

It's a 60" Sony SXRD Grand WEGA 1080p

Does anyone have any experience with the A2000 line? Can it do 1080p via VGA so I can use my XBOX 360 in full 1080p?

If not, can someone recommend me an 60" HDTV that will output via VGA in 1080p? (No Plasmas or CRTs)

Any help is greatly appreciated...

The KDS afaik does not accept 1080p through the PC input (VGA) The Sony XBR3 series does, but are quite expensive. I was very close to buying that exact TV before I discovered that it doesn't play nice with the 360. I went with the Samsung HL-S6187w (61" DLP 1080p) and it works beautifully with the 360 and VGA. I also have the HD-DVD drive and movies look fantastic in native 1080p. You also get the benefit of upscaled DVD's through the VGA cable. Shop around and you can get the Samsung for about $2100.
