Personally, I dig my 42inch Philips 42PF7320A HD plasma. I'm sure those TV's are amazing though.

I've got a Samsung SyncMaster 940MW.

It's only 19 inches, but has coxial, composite, component, VGA, DVI and it has 1440X900 for 1080i.

Not a super tv/monitor, but its only 400 bucks and runs beautimusly.

I dont know about you, but 3000 dollars? I mean thats already expensive as it is. Youd be fine getting just about any Samsung/Sony/Sharp/Mitsubishi for that price.

The real question is what tvs are great for gaming at around 1000 dollars. Because at that price point, you could be striking gold, or cracking a turd open.

Tigerdirect had a 72 hour after thanksgiving special online, I got a 27 in. olevia lcdtv, also $400 blink.gif . 1366x768, looks great, except after a few hours on 1080i, needs to be reset because audio and video out on sync, 720p's fine, 327v is the model

Nah, absolutely nothing beats gaming on 133" screen. The Optoma HDTV DLP projector is the greatest investment I have ever made! In fact, its a childhood dream come true for me! Who would have known that a projector I paid 1/2 of what my living room tv cost me would be so much better

With a projector you have to buy a new lamp after a month ore so if you are a heavy user.....
Beter get a hd tv get like 100.000 hours of pleasure..............

Panasonic TC32LX60 FTW!   Resolution and brightness aren't nearly as important as color depth/accuracy, contrast ratio and refresh rate.

I love my Sony KDS-60A2000, got it early last year (about a month after launch) for a good deal of $3000, when it was retailing for almost $5000.  It is by far one of the best tvs I have seen in quite awhile...it up converts everything to its native 3 chip resolution of 1920x1080p, so everything looks very sharp and very clear.  The SXRD technology makes no impurities such as the screen door effect, or the rainbow effect, or any of that...just pure picture. I have a friend that works at Circuit City in the home theater dept. and he agrees with me, with the Sammy being close behind in the competition.

I just got a 46'' Sony Bravia XBR2 yesterday.  It looks amazing, but it will not accept 1080p through component.

It really Pisses me off when you cant view a page in a link like www.gamedaily.com because you aren't using IE.

I agree with the others that while these tv's are wonderful (Esp that lighting affected one and the 47" @ 120hz 4ms Response phillips) but it takes a decent sized wallet to buy a $3 grand tv, a $600 ps3 and a $400 Xbox360 not including games or extra controllers (And you can't forget the Wii). And that's just for the systems, then you still need HDMI/VGA/Component Cables to play at the res of your Tv, there goes another $100 easily for decent cables.  I think $1000-1500 is a much better price range for the average gamer.
