Anyone been able to do this? I can select 1080i fine on a A03 revision of the 2407, but if i select 1080p the monitor says. 'out of signal range, please use 1920x1200 resolution'

Any help would be nice

Do you have the X360 VGA cable? I'd use that instead. If you look at reviews from tech sites and comments from users, the picture quality through component on the Dell 24" is pretty lackluster and that's being nice. I know it's not an answer regarding 1080p with the component cables, but I felt it should still be said.

quick question that should answer yours..

how could a screen with less than 1080 horizontal lines support a format that uses 1080 lines? think about it...

Umm, it will do 1080 horizontal no problem, since its a native WUXGA monitor(1920x1200).

Just use the vga cable.
