well, i put a WD 80 gig 7200 rpm hd in the xbox, it then shut down and blinked yellow, i know that means overheating so i just left it off

the next day, i took the hard drive OUT of the xbox.... and i still only played xbox for only about 15 minutes and it still overheat.. wtf? the hd is hot, but it is out of the hard drive and I put the hd in a case so there is PLENTY over airflow.

I still get yellow blinking light?

(also I put in a modchip along time ago in the xbox, and then decided i didnt want the modchip, so i took out modchip, and it ruined the mobo, so i bought new v 1.0 mobo and put that in with different modchip the chameleon)

could a different mobo be adding the extra heat? even though everything is still v 1.0
