Throwingks had a great idea.

So, what are your favorites?  3D Modelling, Photo Manipulation, anything? Post them up with a link to the site and, if they are free maybe a download and if they are commercial maybe a trial version so we can test them out.

I'll start with the obvious thing:
Photoshop CS2.  No explanation needed, haven't gotten to try the CS3 Beta yet sad.gif.  I don't even know if you can still get CS3 on Adobe's site.

You could easily find better prices on Amazon, though. The 3D for Beginners book costs less than $25 at Amazon (link). I picked up the Mastering book almost a year ago for $50 at B&N. You can probably find it much cheaper now.

The same thing goes if you guys find new software (preferrably free; legally free) that's graphics-oriented. Just PM one of us and we'll put your link up. Trial software is okay, but it usually only works for 30 days. Once the trial is over, the dream is shattered. lol

if any of you are looking for a cheaper alternative to Illustrator, i do believe that Corel Draw might just hit the spot. i've used it before and it actually isn't all that bad(even though i'll still stick with Adobe products).
 at only $380(still a steep price, but a decent amoun cheaper than Illustrator), it offers alot of really cool vector features. if you're interested, you can always just download the trial and give it a try.
