According to the tool, it destroys all data on the drive.

Yeah, I just noticed that when I went to unlock my hdd.

As I said before, I don't have any use for my locked 10GB hdd except to get my game saves off of it so that makes this tool useless for me. However, the parent site, a-ff.com, also has another tool called Repair Station. According to the site, repair station will unlock the hdd without disturbing any data.

GREAT!! Except that it costs.

As with hdd-unlock, it offers licenses. These licenses range from $49.50 for 1 unlock to $2499.95 for unlimited unlocks for a year.

I don't know if my game saves are worth $50 especially when I've already made about half of them up already.

If anyone decides to use Repair Station tell me how it worked for you.

BTW: Why in the world do they type currency with commas such as in $49,50? idk, I just seems strange to me.

Another tip, not for the faint of heart, once I got going I started “hot swapping” the locked drives.  It was taking too long to shut my computer down, unplug, plug in, restart etc.  When one was finished I would unplug the power then the cable, plug in the cable to the new one and then the power.

your crazy....well it's your pc not mine..........i was over my friends house one time. and he tryed to plug the molex cable(power) in a hdd set to slave when his pc was on, and blew his master hdd. maybe he's just cursed but after that i would not attempt personally...

Guys,

Actually, several days ago I have started a topic on this forum about our project, but it wasn't noticed...

Let me comment about the codes. Many of you have noticed that our system sent empty codes.
That is because some guys wanted hundreds of them (for some reason), so they got'em all. Codes just needed a refill :-).

If you have any questions - feel free to ask!

By the way, could you please remove our email addresses from your quotes/posts? We do not like spam as well as you guys.. Thanks!

I noticed that unlocking xboxdrives is now completly free, thank you, since I was unlocking my drives till 3:00 AM, and I had to sleep with 20 more xbox drives.

I was able to unlock 30 XBOX hdds which were from the past 4 years!
Thanks again for your great tool!

you can use HDDUNLOCK now to unlock all your xbox drives!!

Yep, I saw your first post within minutes of you posting it... also noticed all the "ads by google."
Very nice of you guys to include xbox-scene members in your beta testing. Thanx.
Now your new software renders my brand new custom built slim seagate unlocker useless.   tongue.gif

ARGH!!!!

got home from work to see this free offer... signed up and received code... no problems.  Then spend the next hour friggin around with my comp trying to install the hard drive correctly... done.  Start program to then find that the code doesn't work because the offer has just expired.  !#$!#$%!#$%!!!!!!!

so close to unlocking the 300gig brick i've had lying around for so long.

any chance you will be having any more free days in the future hddunlock?  please pretty please?

For those who wanted a free unlock:

I am so sorry to tell you that there will be no more free unlocks of drives >20GB. I have posted my first message, I believe, a week ago...  Now all free codes are erased, and we cannot issue free codes anymore.

I think we did everything fair (Free service for people who help us test the product).

yesterday I got a code for a 80gig to unlock a 10 gig locked hdd (its the code that seemed to work best for me)

about 7 hours ago it stopped working hard and has been sitting at 4 minutes remaining ever since then.

Do the codes expire "during" the unlocking process?

if I cancel it at this point and restart with a 20 gig code, is there a chance of doing more damage than good?

dont get your panies in a bunch, just because you didnt get you 15 minutes of fame which you wanted doesnt mean you can throw a hissy fit. btw, buddy, if your getting worked up, its the internet. sure it can be emotional at times, but really who cares? maybe go take your anger out by tossing some worthless junk out your 2nd story window(aka: ps2's or gamecubes). if your that attention hungy, go wear black all the time or start wearing makeup *cough* emo *cough*. Its guaranteed to get some attention be it negative or positive. I mean, if you're really looking to get the attention you want, the last place to try for it is at a forum.
