Good question. You are fine though. The only problem is if you have a locked harddrive you need the same motherboard to unlock it. But you will be fine using a motherboard with any unlocked harddrive. So you can just buy a 120 GB hard drive or whatever size you want and use it with the Motherboard. Then use a program to lock that new harddrive if you want to see your original xbox dash for xb live. This is all assuming you  have a mod chip however.
